Erica Watkins
This is Erica's 4th year at The
Growing Place, teaching the Parent Toddler class. Erica received a BA in
Liberal Studies form Cal State Long Beach followed by a Masters in Education
from Pepperdine University. She taught both Kindergarten and 1st grade for 10
years in the Las Virgenes Unified School District and then took time away from
the classroom to raise her children. Erica and her husband Brad have 5 kids
ranging in age from 14 to 22. While her kids were in elementary school, Erica
spent those years volunteering in classrooms, working with students and
teaching art. In the Parent Toddler classroom, Erica loves introducing quality
literature and process art experiences to her students.
Crystal Alexander
Welcome to Parent Toddler, I’m so thrilled to have your child in our class. My name is Ms. Crystal and I’m so happy to meet you. I’ve been teaching young children for over thirty years. I have 3 beautiful children who all went through this amazing program. I have so many amazing memories of my very own children learning and growing in all of these very same classrooms. They started at the Growing Place in our parent/toddler program and went all the way through until 1st grade. My time away from this second home is spent volunteering in the community, visiting my children who are now in college, spending time with my animals and participating in my favorite activity, running and racing marathons. I’m looking forward to spending next year learning and growing with each of you as you begin making your very own forever memories here at The Growing Place.
