Mrs. Shohreh Ebrahimi-Mofidi
Shohreh loves spending her mornings in Room 2 for the 3rd year. while they "explore, learn and grow".
She has a bachelor's and master's degree in Art, Graphic Design and Advertisement in addition to her certificate in Early Childhood Education.
Prior to joining The Growing Place Preschool she taught art to high school and college students for over ten years. While raising her children and volunteering in their classrooms, she rediscovered her love of working with and shaping young minds which led her to further education in Child Development.
Once she acquired her certification she decided to come back and work where her kids got their start in learning, growing and most important, staying curious.. The Growing Place.
She and her husband, Vahid have two children, Ryan (10) and Ayla (8) and are always busy with their extra curricular activities.
Her goal as a preschool teacher is to provide a nurturing and engaging environment where your child can learn, explore, and develop essential skills that will lay a strong foundation for their future education.
Kelly Niebergall
Kelly and her family have been connected to The Growing Place for the past 7 years while both of her daughters attended the school. She feels honored to become a part of the staff this year. She remembers the first time she walked into a classroom and felt the warmth and safety of it and knew that it was the right fit for her daughters.
She has an undergraduate degree in English Literature from UC Santa Cruz, a Masters in English from San Francisco State and received her Child Development Certificate from Moorpark College. She loves sharing her own love for reading and books with children, and enjoys using felt stories, dialogic reading and extension activities to further find joy and meaning in the book.
She and her supportive husband, and two lovely, feisty daughters live in Thousand Oaks. She loves all things books, writing, gardening and hiking which brings breath and balance to her life.
