Jen Bovatsek

Hi! My name is Ms. Jen and I’m so excited to begin the new school year with you! I’ve always loved working with young children and their families. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and completed my early childhood education curriculum. After I graduated, I realized that I’m the most passionate about the importance of play in child development. So, I decided to go back to school, (I’m also passionate about lifelong learning!), and earned a Masters Degree in Recreation, Parks and Tourism from San Francisco State. I continue to be grateful that I’m able to create environments where children learn through play and grow through experiential learning.

When I’m not in the classroom, I have 6 year-old boy/girl twins and an 9 year-old daughter who keep me very busy. My favorite activities include being a Girl Scout leader, watching our pet bunny hop around and getting to the beach as often as I can.

We’re going to have so much fun together and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things this year has in store for us!

Once she acquired her certification she decided to come back and work where her kids got their start in learning, growing and most important, staying curious.. The Growing Place.
She and her husband, Vahid have two children, Ryan  and Ayla and are always busy with their extra curricular activities.
Her goal as a preschool teacher is to provide a nurturing and engaging environment where your child can learn, explore, and develop essential skills that will lay a strong foundation for their future education.
